In days, one Icelandic man will set out on his summer hobby to harpoon the brains out of dozens of gigantic fin whales, then chop them into pieces and ship their meat to Japan. But there is one way to stop him before the slaughter: block the trade before it leaves Europe.

Despite the whale meat trade being illegal in most of the world, the Dutch are quietly allowing tycoon Kristjan Loftsson to traffic these shameful carcasses via Rotterdam. If we expose the Dutch government's bloody trade and cause a public storm right now, they will see it is not worth the reputational risk and close the shameful trade through this port. If the whalers can’t sell the meat, we could stop the hunt before it starts.
