To UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon:

As citizens of Japan, we call on the UN to send an independent team of international experts to assess the safety of Fukushima Daiichi reactor #4. It has been a year since the nuclear disaster, yet a pool of dangerous radioactive cesium 10 times that of Chernobyl still lays exposed. This massive catastrophe-in-waiting requires immediate attention, but the Japanese government has failed to act. Only an intervention by the international community can ensure the safety of the Japanese people.
