There’s only 55 Maui dolphins left on the planet and they are solely found in New Zealand waters. But the government is under intense pressure from corporations to open up their habitat to mining companies and trawler fishing. If this happens, these amazing creatures will disappear forever. Let’s drown out corporate influence with a people-powered call to save them.
The government is responding to public pressure and has begun a consultation process to guide its actions. We have just 36 hours to make a difference -- together let’s flood the Ministry of Fishing with calls to protect the remaining Maui dolphins and give this species a shot at survival. Click to send a personalised message now calling on them to ban seabed mining and net fishing in the Maui dolphins remaining habitat.
