The People's Declaration For The 13th General Election (Malaysia) is made on this day, 23rd August 2012, whereas DESAH (Democracy Sabah) an ad-hoc civil society group in Sabah formed specifically to promote good democratic values for a representative government, clean, free and fair elections has initiated a dialogue for the purpose of having a one-to-one (1-1) contest in the coming 13th General Election in Malaysia, for Sabah, in particular to avoid multi-cornered contests which may lead to unfavorable consequences on Sabah's democracy.

And whereas, DESAH requires a signature campaign to bring the said PKR, DAP, SAPP & STAR to agree to the said 1-1 contest for the objectives so stated accordingly in this petition.
