Stop fracking in county Clare, Ireland

In short...we don't want to be poisoned!
Enegi Oil has been granted the licensing option for the Clare basin. They have since applied for an exploration license for this area (west Clare only). Pat Rabitte and Fergus ODowd have said they will not grant permission for this license until they have read the report from the EPA about the research they will be conducting into the fracking impacts in Ireland. This said however, Pat Rabitte and Fergus ODowd are making many pro-fracking statements in the irish media.
Fracking will poison our water supplies, destroying our rivers and lakes, wells and Holy wells.
Poisoned water means NO AGRICULTURE as crops won't grow and animals will die.
NO FISHING, causing loss of marine life and loss of jobs and the destruction of fishing communities. NO HUMAN LIFE as we can't get clean water.
Tourism will dry up.
The Burren, unique european landscape and on the UN list of one of the 7 natural world wonders....will be destroyed.
Our whole county will change into an industrial landscape.
All grass will turn brown and NOTHING will grow.
And more...
Our government plans to take water from Lough Derg to supply the Dublin region.
Do they want to kill all residents there?? It looks like it.
Fracking is a 24/7 job.
Each pad contains 12 wells. For each well there'll be 1000 truck journeys with poisonous and toxic materials. They plan for 600! pads, making this an astonishing 7,200,000 truck journeys!
Enegi Oil has the right to change road lay-outs, change waterways, change entrances unto farms and the owners won't have a say in that!
After drilling a hole they pump in 15 million litres of fresh water mixed with 200,000 litres of toxic chemicals. Of this 20 to 50 % will flow back to the surface, together with radio-active materials like radium and radon, heavy metals like lead, salts and methane.
This will be stored in special ponds, but there isn't a method to treat this waste water.
The health risks are enormous... 75 % skin problems, eye problems, lung-and gastric tract problems, 40 % nervous system, cardiovascular system and immune system problems and 25 % risk of cancer!!
It is already proven in other countries that there will be an increased risk of seismic activity.
Who wants to experience that?? NOT US!
