The Honourable Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd

The Australian Federal Government has released the 'Mineral and Energy Exploation Inquiry Productivity Commission Draft Report' which recommends that the The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act 1984 (The ATSHIP Act) be repealed. The purpose of this act is to be an avenue to go to when the State Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act fails to protect sites. Aboriginal Cultural Heritage is not being adaquetly protected in Australia and this latest recommendation to Federal Government is prejudiced and unjust.
