Reform our monetary system and create money through credit not debt!

Central Banks, World Leaders, Opinion Makers
The world-wide debt crisis is the inevitable consequence of a global monetary system in which new money is always created as debt and almost always carries the burden of interest.
I am a concerned citizen of the world who sees that many of the problems in our society stem from underlying causes that are being almost completely ignored. Considering the crucial role that money plays in our society, there needs to be much more awareness and debate about how new money is created, by who it is created and who profits by its creation.
In our current fiat money system, central and commercial banks are legally permitted to create new money out of thin air (through fractional reserve banking) and then charge interest when they loan this money to nations and individuals. This unjust debt burden is a root cause of much of the scarcity, inequality and hardship suffered by society yet this is not fully understood by the vast majority of people and is not discussed in mainstream politics or the mainstream media. We must call upon all central banks, political leaders and opinion makers to publicly recognize this critical issue and to undertake fundamental reform of the monetary system.
Perpetual debt is an inescapable consequence of the current monetary system; since all money is created as debt, only the principal amount of any loan is ever actually in circulation. The money required to cover the interest burden doesn't exist in the money supply! This implies that somebody, somewhere in the system will inevitably have to take out new loans in order to cover the outstanding interest. These new loans carry their own interest burden, etc. etc. perpetually. Ongoing inflation is equally inescapable as these new loans continually add money to the overall supply thereby diluting the value of existing money. Perpetual inflation can correctly be described as a hidden tax on common people!
Controlling the creation and distribution of money is arguably the single most powerful tool for positive social change since money is necessary to access all goods & services available in the economy. Correcting the unjust and unequal distribution of money in society is a prerequisite for changing many of the negative patterns we see around us. It's time to fundamentally redesign our monetary system!
