Ban endocrine disrupting chemicals in consumer goods

Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate i solcremer
Ftalater i bruseforhæng, fugemasser, t-shirts og vinyl gulve
Bromerede flammehæmmere i computere og elektronik
Resorcinol i hårfarve
Bisphenol A i dåser og dåsemad
BHA i tyggegummi

Ban Endocrine disrupters now!
The Danish Consumer Council focuses on endocrine disrupters (EDCs) in consumer products because the substances have shown negative effects in animal studies and are suspected of having adverse effects in humans such as infertility, premature puberty, low sperm quality and other serious health problems, as well as causing problems in nature.
The EDCs include
substances such as:
Parabens in lotion
Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate in suntan lotions
Phthalates in shower curtains, sealants, t-shirts and vinyl floors
Brominated flame retardents in computers and other electronics
Resorcinol in hair dyes
Bisphenol A in canned food
BHA i chewing gum
But are they really necessary in consumer goods? No, there are alternatives, and therefore we call on the EU Commission to ban these chemicals before it is too late.
