Ban Neonicotinoids

MPs - UK Government
We are calling on the UK government to ban the use of this group of systemic pesticides anywhere in the UK and we need everyone to continue to pressure the UK Government and their MPs to seriously reconsider the use of these pesticides: http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/nature/government-to-reconsider-nerve-agent-pesticides-7604121.html
We would like the House of Commons to note the recent publication of the findings of a study led by Dr Jeffrey Pettis of the US Department of Agriculture's Bee Research Laboratory, which showed that bees deliberately exposed to even tiny amounts of the neonicotinoid pesticide, imidacloprid, were, on average three times more likely to become infected by the parasite, nosema, as those that had not; and to recognise that this research adds the most compelling evidence yet to the growing body of scientific work linking neonicotinoid use to decline in populations of honey bees and other pollinators;

Dear . . . . . . . . .
I am writing to ask you to support Early Day Motion 2664 by Labour MP Martin Caton.
The motion addresses the issue of Neonicotinoid pesticides and the danger they pose to honeybees, butterflies, bumblebees and all insects in the countryside, as well as all the invertebrate life in the soil: earthworms, beetles etc. Recent publication of the findings of a study led by Dr Jeffrey Pettis of the US Department of Agriculture's Bee Research Laboratory, which showed that bees deliberately exposed to even tiny amounts of the neonicotinoid pesticide, imidacloprid, were, on average three times more likely to become infected by the parasite, nosema, as those that had not; recognises that this research adds the most compelling evidence yet to the growing body of scientific work linking neonicotinoid use to decline in populations of honey bees and other pollinators
I urge you, as my MP to please support this motion
Yours sincerely
