2 days to stop toxic tear gas

To Michael Oberdick, President, Nonlethal Technologies and Jose Matera, International Business Manager, Condor Non-lethal Technologies:

We call on you to immediately halt all tear gas sales to Bahrain. Your companies are two of the main tear gas suppliers to the monarchy, which is turning the crowd control weapon to a lethal weapon that’s killing innocent civilians. You must commit to quit business with the brutal regime now and save your reputations as well as the lives of thousands of Bahraini people.

2 days to stop toxic tear gas
Qassim Habib
8 year-old Qassim died when Bahraini police poisoned the air in his village with toxic tear gas -- perhaps 10 times more poisonous than typical tear gas. The young child couldn’t escape and suffocated - the latest victim of the regime’s excessive force against peaceful protesters. It is too late for Qassim, but in two days, we can stop it from happening to others.

Thousands of Bahraini civilians are subject to indiscriminate tear gas attacks by their own government -- 30 have died. Countless more suffer massive injuries. But if we can stop the major weapons manufacturers from selling Bahrain the tear gas, we can help stop the deaths.

Two of the big companies that supply Bahrain with poison tear gas are going to a major defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi, this week, where they will try to sell their products to companies and countries from around the world. Let’s demand that they stop selling deadly tear gas to Bahrain. When we reach 30,000, we’ll deliver our message to shame these companies in front of their buyers with a huge stunt outside of the exhibition. Sign this campaign and share it with everyone.
