Bermuda's Blue Halo
Bermuda is on the verge of creating the biggest ocean sanctuary in the Atlantic but the government seems to be stalling. There's overwhelming public support for the Blue Halo and it's now time for them to act. Let's flood the Premier's office with a wave of messages he can't ignore.

Here are some talking points for guidance -- but remember, the more personal, the better:
  • Last year I participated in the public consultation in support of a fully-protected, large-scale marine reserve in Bermuda's waters starting at mile 50 and extending out to the end of the exclusive economic zone. I still support this reserve that was promised in your campaign platform
  • Five months later I still haven’t heard a single word from government about my submission or a plan to move forward on the reserve. I request that the full results of the public consultation be released and the process of creating a marine reserve move forward.
  • It is time to act! I am asking you to take the initiative now and fulfil your promise to create the largest, fully-protected marine reserve in the Atlantic. This reserve will highlight Bermuda's conservation leadership and vision. It is good for tourism, will create jobs, and the public is behind this effort.
